Kaiserslautern Tour

I went on a brief tour of Kaiserslautern which is a pretty neat town.  I began at the city fountain which tells the story of the founding of Kaiserslautern by two kings.

Apparently the two kings had help from some giant carp and the clockwork owl Archimedes from Clash of the Titans.

From there I saw a couple of churches that had been taken over by Napoleon and turned into horse stables and troop barracks.

The city was also in the process or excavating some Roman ruins which were in part a burial site.

Some of the sarcophagi were sitting out.

Here is a neat WWI monument.
I had a good time in the city and will probably go back there at some point.  Kaiserslautern has a famous soccer team and I'd like the chance to go and see them live.
